‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ season 6, episode 15 review: Kathryn Edwards, Erika Girardi’s dinner-party problem
On Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” the all-familiar broken record decided to play a few more times when it comes to anything and everything surrounding Yolanda Hadid. Maybe you are not tired of all of this, but we sure are. Honestly, who cares if people are being manipulative? The reality is that listening to this go on and on is not interesting, and ultimately what really matters is that Yolanda is okay.
Ultimately, this is why we’re not going to spend too much time here talking about Lisa Rinna’s gossip-session to Eileen Davidson, one where she tried to pass off a whole lot of blame for what happened on the likes of Kyle Richards and Lisa Vanderpump. There’s really no point; the one thing we will say is that it is nice to see some of the ice thaw between Kyle and Yolanda after some recent tension.
Let’s get instead to the “main event” of what was actually a rather-dull hour of television: Seeing Kathryn Edwards cause trouble over nothing at Erika Girardi’s dinner party, just because of her proficiency to talk over everyone. She ended up causing problems later for Erika and her husband, just because he didn’t really want anything to do with the nonsense and we really don’t blame him. Kathryn came across here as someone desperate to have a moment for the sake of getting to stay on the show long-term, and it just didn’t work. There’s just nothing about her that is inherently as interesting as with Erika; as a nice parallel, there was nothing that interesting about this episode overall.
What this show needs at this point is something ridiculous and lavish for us to obsess over once again; in its current form, things just aren’t cutting it. Grade: C-.
