‘The X Factor’ UK, ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ could stay put thanks to multi-year deal

The latest news -It’s starting to look more and more like “The X Factor” and “Britain’s Got Talent” are not going to be going anywhere in the near future, and it is all courtesy of a new deal that could be signed with Simon Cowell, his producers, and ITV.

Per a report from The Sun, the parties are in the midst of extensive talks that could end with these two shows being on the air until 2018. While this is not entirely for certain going to be happening just yet, we definitely beleive that it is a reasonable possibility. The ratings are definitely there for “Britain’s Got Talent” in particular, while we feel like “The X Factor” at least does enough to potentially justify its existence on the air for at least a little while longer.

For the time being, one of the larger questions could just be trying to determine who ends up being a big part of “The X Factor” moving forward. Simon Cowell and Cheryl Fernandez-Virsini are both likely to return as judges, but in looking beyond the two of them, there are certainly plenty of other questions. Take, for example, Rita Ora, who could be forced to decide between Cowell’s singing show and another season of “The Voice,” where she previously appeared. Meanwhile, Nick Grimshaw has already departed as a judge, and as a result of that he has his own significant decision to make.

Of course, be sure to stay tuned, as we’ll have some other announcements all about the future of the series as we have them.
