ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 14 preview: Summer Glau joins Nathan Fillion for ‘The GDS’
There are many reasons to be excited about the next new episode of “Castle,” but one of the things that we’re currently amped about is strictly getting an opportunity to see Summer Glau on the show. She’s been at the top of our personal guest star wishlist for quite some time, and anytime that we get to see some sort of “Firefly” reunion on the show, our heart starts to flutter a little bit.
You can check out the full synopsis for “The G.D.S.” (otherwise known as the Greatest Detective Society) below:
“Castle returns to the City of Angels in search of answers about his missing time. But things take a deadly turn when he’s recruited by the legendary Greatest Detective Society to help solve a murder, on “Castle,” MONDAY, MARCH 7 (10:01-11:00 p.m. EST), on the ABC Television Network. Summer Glau guest stars as Kendall Frost, a heady private detective in Los Angeles who competes with Castle to try solving the murder, plus Gerald McRaney guest stars as Mason Wood, the head of the Greatest Detective Society.”
Do we hope that there is something for Beckett to do in this episode? Absolutely, since based on synopsis alone it doesn’t seem like there’s much for any of the other regulars beyond Fillion to do here. WE have a promo for you below that helps give us a better idea of what’s coming up, but what we will say for now is that this is an episode that has us excited to watch.

Leo you are right but I do not think really good will be the answer.Another Firefly alum is not what we need,we need Castle and Beckett working together as in the other LA episode not with Hailey and super PI Alexis. It feels very wrong to do this LA episode sans Beckett, the first one was a pivotal episode, and this one is a retread of it and earlier seasons.Lack of imagination is not going to get the new president of ABC’s attention or even a thought of renewal.

Does this mean RC will be sidetracked from his search for answers to his missing months. From wandering the streets of Korea town, L.A. to floating unconscious on the Atlantic , this could be really good or stink it up like his abduction did.
