‘The Bachelor’ finale spoilers: JoJo Fletcher, Lauren Bushnell face off for Ben Higgins’ heart

On tonight’s new episode of “The Bachelor,” the final three became the final two; while we don’t know for certain as of this writing that Caila Quinn is the one leaving in third place, all signs certainly seem to be pointing in that direction.

So where do we go from here? Well, we know that Ben Higgins loves both JoJo Fletcher and Lauren Bushnell, which makes us think that we are setting ourselves up for (wait for it) the MOST DRAMATIC FINALE EVER … or at least that is what ABC will claim. We’re not sure anything will ever beat what Jason Mesnick or Brad Womack did. This feels for the most part almost like any other finale that the show has done. There are two strong contenders, and the only different here is that Ben has told the two of them something that most Bachelors don’t say until the very end.

This finale is going to be airing on ABC come March 14, and for the most part, the structure of the show is going to be the same that it has always been. You’ll have two hours for Ben to make his pick, and then after that, we’ll be coming up to the probably-live “After the Final Rose” show, where the star of the next season of “The Bachelorette” will be revealed.

Do we have any predictions for that particular occasion? Sure: There’s not going to be two Bachelorettes again. We feel like ABC has learned their lesson in regards to that for at least the next few years.
