‘Big Brother Canada 4’: Our take on the new house
There are always a few traditions that we’ve come to expect before a season of “Big Brother” or “Big Brother Canada.” We get to know the cast, and at some point either before or after this, we get to know the house.
This season, the show is going for a theme that closely resembles Las Vegas, and many of the rooms are really hyping up the glitz and the glamor. You can see some of that in the house tour over on the show’s official site. Arisa Cox is your guide, and there are a few things in here that get our attention almost right away:
1. There are two bedrooms this year instead of one, not including the Head of Household room. This is a great thing that the show has seemed to take away from the U.S. show, since more bedrooms simply means more chances for there to be scheming. Also, we love that there’s a Jon Pardy nod in here with the “Hundo Suite” name.
2. Also, we like that there are a variety of different places in the house for the players to sit down, socialize, and form / break alliances. That’s something that is always super-important for any season, especially since one thing you cannot really get a sense of while watching the show is just how small the house really is.
3. The backyard is not nearly as “grassy” as in years past, and there is more of a specific workout area. We didn’t really get a good sense of its entire scope in the video, though.
4. Once again, the hot-tub area is the only part of the house that is open-air. Given that it can be very cold in the earlier part of the season, only the brave will probably venture out there until April.
