‘Talking Dead’ spoilers: Lauren Cohan, Kid Cudi, mystery guest join Chris Hardwick

While we know that the majority of the attention for Sunday night is going to be on the Academy Awards, we also do not want you to forget that there are also some all-new episodes of both “The Walking Dead” and “Talking Dead” coming on the air over on AMC. These two hours should provide a few surprises, but now all of them may be of the necessarily-happy variety.

Let’s start off this article with the two people who are confirmed to be appearing:

Lauren Cohan – Known of course for playing Maggie on the series, and someone who should be able to bring a good deal of both insight and enthusiasm to the table when the show airs.

Kid Cudi – This story is a pretty fun one, given that he openly campaigned to appear on the show via social media. Host Chris Hardwick said he would look into getting him on, and now that has happened. Apparently, sometimes all you need to do if you are a celebrity who wants to be on “Talking Dead” is ask! Also, we imagine that with the Oscars airing there was a little bit more of a challenge finding some people who were not watching it.

Mystery guest – While this is not necessarily confirmation that someone is going to die in the episode, there’s clearly still something big happening in here that is keeping AMC from releasing the name. Had Chandler Riggs appeared in the first episode this year, for example, we would’ve understood why the show didn’t want to announce his name in advance.
