‘Shark Tank’ review: Linka, Teaspressa, BetterBack, and Glace Cryotherapy

Shark Tank -Ready for an all-new episode of “Shark Tank“? Then we’re here to talk all about the latest products! This is an interesting episode given that there are several products in here meant to solve specific problems pertaining to either your health, or the safety of things that you care about. While none of these may be an absolute need, there are things that have a particular benefit. It’s just up to the entrepreneurs to educate the consumers.

As with every other review, we’ll be updating this live as the night goes on!

BetterBack – Is this really a way to improve your posture long-term? We like the functionality of it, and also that the Sharks seemed very high of its benefits after they tried it themselves. While there may not be a whole lot of evidence yet that customers love it, but they pre-ordered a ton of them on Kickstarter. Sure, she didn’t exactly get what she was asking for in terms of percentage, but we don’t know how she could be upset by the deal with Lori Greiner. This product will thrive in a QVC environment, and it will make a TON of money.

Glace Cryotherapy – Is this the right company to really expand this treatment? We’ll be honest here: We did not really see many scenarios in which these two were going to get a deal for a business that isn’t really proprietary or different than anything else that is out there. Basically, it’s just something similar to what other people are doing. However, Barbara Corcoran saw some appeal and made a deal. Why did she do it? She was thinking in terms of financials. If franchisees can make money quickly, then what’s stopping this business from quick expansion?

Linka – Is this a worthwhile way to prevent bike theft? We do think that there’s a lot of cool innovation here, and we think that it could make some headway moving into the future. The biggest issue here to us is competition, and that most people who ride a bike probably aren’t going to want to spend just an enormous amount of money on something that is a slightly more effective version of a bike chain. No deal.

Teaspressa – Can you make tea feel and taste like coffee? The product looks really delicious, but there was a big issue almost right away: This presentation was a mess. It wasn’t clear what the product was, how it worked, or what she even wanted to use the money for. She seemed to be incredibly nervous throughout the entire presentation, and she just wasn’t ready from the business point of view.

One thing that we do like here is that the majority of the Sharks (other than Kevin O’Leary) were supportive, but they didn’t just give her a deal because she was passionate. No deal.
