‘The X-Files’ season 11: Annabeth Gish interested in return

X Files -At the moment, we are still very much in the middle of a waiting game to see when the return of “The X-Files” will happen. What’s the good news? At the moment, we’re incredibly confident that the show will be coming back. The ratings were really great, and while the reaction to the finale was mixed, there’s still much about this series that people loved.

One of the biggest surprises in the final episode of season 10 was the reveal that Annabeth Gish’s character of Monica Reyes was linked to the Cigarette Smoking Man, and that’s not something we’re over just yet. Still, we’re eager to see more of her, and we’re also very thrilled to see that Gish feels the same exact way. Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, she had the following to say:

“I think, as evidenced by the response, there is an audience for it, and when there’s an audience, there’s a sentiment for it.”

Gish also said that she really hopes that we will get to see Robert Patrick back on the show in some capacity moving forward. We feel like the only reason we didn’t see him over the course of the past six episodes was because of his commitment to “Scorpion,” and that will probably still be there. However, maybe this time around we are going to get a chance to schedule everything out. Also, it’s also possible that it could be filming at a more convenient time. After all, it feels like season 11 (once it’s renewed, which we assume it will be) is still a long way down the road.
