‘Supergirl’ spoilers: Will Kara learn the truth about Alex, Astra?

The first season of “Supergirl” has definitely unleashed its fair share of twists and turns so far, but one of the biggest ones that we’ve had a chance to see so far is Alex killing Astra, only for Hank Henshaw to take the blame for it. Why did he do this? The simplest answer is that he wanted to ensure that there was no resentment that formed between Alex and her sister Kara, but there’s a problem with that: The resentment is increasing exponentially because of the fact that Kara has less to lose with him. There’s no stakes really to keep a brave face for a guy she only knows from the DEO, even if he is a fellow alien.

Well, rest assured that eventually, there is going to be some movement when it comes to seeing what happens between Alex and Kara when the secret comes out. In speaking further on this to Entertainment Weekly, star Melissa Benoist had the following to say:

“It does get resolved … It’s pretty earth-shattering for Astra to die, regardless of who killed her, because [Kara] has so few remaining family — and Kryptonians in general — that it shook her to the core. Just the fact that Astra died in the first place, but finding out that it was her sister, it’ll be a big deal.”

Do we think that they will be able to work it in time? Eventually, but this will be a key revelation for Kara that she cannot treat her sister just like there is nothing else between the two of them anymore beyond family. They are also a business partnership, with the business being taking care of the city in every way that they can.
