If you are a fan of “Blue Bloods,” we feel pretty secure in saying that there is a heck of a lot of drama coming up. We don’t know how else exactly you can describe the story ahead based on what we’re seeing in the video below.
In Friday night’s new episode, you’re going to see a guest-starring turn from none other than Whoopi Goldberg as a city council speaker who gets into some heated debates with Frank Reagan (Tom Selleck), and the argument is going to touch extensively on some major themes as of late: The behavior of the NYPD, and some of the tension that is there between the police and civilians, especially those within the African-American community.
Will there be some sort of resolution? We hope so, given that we know for certain at the moment that Frank is not going anywhere. He just re-upped his deal to remain commissioner after some negotiations with Mayor Poole, and the biggest thing he needs to do on his end is create better community outreach, and also try to show that it is the job of the police to protect and serve, and not to intimidate and hate. There will always be some mistakes here and there, but ensuring that some of these mistakes are not life-threatening should ultimately be the priority.
We expect this to be a pretty powerful hour, and we’ll have a full review of it not too long after it airs. Stay tuned!
