‘Legends of Tomorrow’ episode 6 preview: Caity Lotz on ‘old man’ Oliver

The next new episode of “Legends of Tomorrow” is set to be a huge one for many reasons, with one of the primary ones being simply that you’re going to have a chance to see a very different Oliver Queen than the one we’ve come to know. This is a guy who worked hard for many years to protect Star City, but as we flash forward thirty years in the future, we’re going to see that he failed to get the job done. It’s not a hotbed of criminal activity, and he seems to be overshadowed now by another costumed Green Arrow in Connor Hawke.

Seeing Star City in such terrible shape is going to have a huge (albeit devastating) impact on both Ray Palmer and Sara Lance, but the latter in particular could be useful in trying to convince Oliver of who they are and what they’re capable of. Speaking in a new interview with TVLine, Caity Lotz teases some of what it was like working with Stephen Amell in this capacity:

“I think we work really well off of each other. [Sara and Oliver] always have such good chemistry … I felt like he was such an old man, like, ‘Get of my lawn!'”

One thing that will be fun here is strictly getting to see Oliver and Sara spend some real time together for the first time in a long time. The character was dead for most of season 3, and the majority of the time that she was around in season 4, she did not exactly have the full use of her ability or her mind. They have a unique history together, and Oliver’s seen her both at her best and at her worst.
