‘The Big Bang Theory’ 200th episode: See new videos featuring Adam West, Sara Gilbert, and more

The 200th episode of “The Big Bang Theory” will be airing on CBS come Thursday night, and based on just about every bit of information we’re seeing at the moment, this is going to be quite the occasion and then some!

In the video below, you find out everything that there is to say and then some when it comes to how the big episode comes together, including the oh-so-smart construct of having it revolve around Sheldon’s birthday. He is the breakout character of the series, and forcing him to celebrate something that he doesn’t really want to typically does make for quite the party. Given that this is a party, don’t you have to include some familiar faces in the process! This is why we’re thrilled to see some frequent recurring players like John Ross Bowie, Kevin Sussman, and Wil Wheaton back, and we’re also glad that Christine Baranski had time in her “Good Wife” schedule to make the trip to Los Angeles.

To us, the two biggest guest-star sells are as follows:

1. Sara Gilbert, making her first appearance on the show in years as Leonard’s ex Leslie. We’re not sure why she would ever be invited to Sheldon’s birthday, but we’re glad at the same time to see her turning up.

2. Adam West, who claims that he is playing an over-the-top, ridiculous version of himself as he is somehow convinced to turn up for the big party. We figure that it has to be fun for him to be this sort of crazy-fun character.
