‘Chicago Fire’ season 4, episode 17 preview: Return date speculation for Taylor Kinney, cast

The fourth season of “Chicago Fire” has accomplished to this point quite a bit, in between the introduction of some new characters (Stella Kidd), Casey’s attempts to run for Alderman, a “Chicago Med” – “Chicago PD” crossover, and of course a wide array of fires that need to be tackled by the 51.

So when are the likes of Jesse Spencer, Taylor Kinner, and the rest of the cast coming back? While there hasn’t necessarily been a confirmed return date just yet, it could be as late as March 22 before we see everyone back on the air again. The reason for the lengthy hiatus is largely a matter of making sure that there are some episodes to air for the homestretch of the season, while at the same time also clearing a little bit of room in the schedule so that “The Voice” can come back and do its thing. As you may recall, the singing show tends to take up a whole lot of room on the schedule for the first few weeks after its return.

The biggest silver lining in a longer hiatus here is merely the fact that in being forced to wait for so long, there will be at least a run of new episodes coming up in the spring to lead you directly into the end of the season. As a matter of fact, we could be looking at a situation where there is a new episode every week. What better way to get excited about the remainder of the season than this? It’s one of many things to be psyched about.

Plus, you won’t have to wait until late March before some more details start coming in. We imagine we’ll have some sooner rather than later.
