‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: ‘Heroes: Reborn’ alum to help explore Emma’s past

Once Upon A TimeWhile we have seen a percentage of Emma Swan’s past on “Once Upon a Time” through five years, it’s mostly been in little pockets. We have not seen just yet how she ends up becoming a bail bondsperson as we see her in the pilot. And this could be brought and detailed when we get around to the 20th episode of the season.

Want to know more? Well, according to TVLine, Rya Kihlstedt of “Heroes: Reborn” fame is going to be playing the part of Cleo (sadly not Miss Cleo), a bail bondsperson herself who managed to get herself out of a tough position in life and figuring everything out in terms of what she wanted. We would assume that she could be a mentor of some sort to Emma as she starts to figure out for herself just what it is that she wants from life.

Speaking to the aforementioned site while at the 100th episode celebration, executive producer / co-creator Edward Kitsis had the following to say:

“We are going to get a period in time in Emma’s life we’ve never explored before, which is before she became a bail bondsperson … And it’s about time!”

You will be waiting for at least a little while for this particular appearance to come, since it’s not happening until we roll around to the 20th episode of the season. That strongly makes us think that we are going to see something important be tied to this story that will set up the end of the season.
