‘Grey’s Anatomy’ season 12: Ellen Pompeo, others take a little trip in ‘All Eyez on Me’

Grey's AnatomyFor all of those out there wondering whether or not the title contains a typo, it doesn’t: “All Eyez on Me” is the name of the March 10 installment of ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy,” and if you’re curious this is a clear reference to a Tupac album.

As for what this episode is going to contain, think of it as a chance to see a rather interesting change of course of some of the doctors. The synopsis below does a pretty good job of explaining just why this installment is going to stand out and then some:

“Meredith, Bailey, Jackson, Callie and Jo travel to a military hospital to perform an extraordinary and extremely risky surgery on a veteran with an advanced tumor. Meanwhile back at Grey Sloan, Andrew is tired of being Maggie’s worst kept secret; Ben makes an impulsive surgical decision; and a team of cheerleaders wreak havoc in the ER.”

First of all, isn’t it nice to see Ben get some sort of story here that doesn’t directly impact Bailey? It’s definitely a nice little change-up from what the show has given us so far. Also, it’s going to be interesting see Ellen Pompeo and many of the other main actors in a different setting, and doing an extremely difficult procedure to go along with it. Our hope here is that this episode will shine a light further on veterans’ affairs and the care they receive, which is something that is an extremely important topic to investigate.
