‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: JoJo Fletcher’s ex complicates Ben Higgins date
In the sneak peek below via Entertainment Weekly, you can see precisely what we’re talking about here as JoJo arrives to find flowers and a letter. It seems at first like she thinks they are coming from Ben, only to see Chad’s name later at the bottom of the letter. Why in the world would he do this? Maybe he genuinely still loves her, or maybe he just wants to mess around with the date that she is about to go on. After all, Ben conveniently arrives here minutes after seeing this letter turn up.
The real people are to blame for this nonsense above anyone else are the show producers, since it really seems like they have the power to yank that letter and roses away from the door if they had so chosen to do so. Maybe they didn’t want to get in the way of something Chad wanted to do if this was real life and the cameras weren’t there, but the whole thing feels timed in a very weird way.
As of this was not the only problem coming up for Ben and JoJo, remember this about the upcoming episode, as well: At some point during the date, at least one of JoJo’s family members will fire off some not-so-nice comments in her direction, and in turn cause a whole mountain of problems that could have Ben questioning things more than he would have otherwise.
