‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Michael Raymond-James will return as Neal
It appears as though the upcoming fifth season of “Once Upon a Time” has just added someone new to its Underworld, and it is definitely someone who should be familiar to longtime fans of the show in Michael Raymond-James.
According to a new report right now coming in from TVLine, Neal a.k.a. Baelfire will be returning for the 100th episode, and he and the show’s producers were so worried about his appearance being revealed that they went through almost every measure possible to keep it a secret. He was careful upon flying into the city, he filmed all of his scenes indoors, and he did not even stay at the same hotel that most guest stars tend to when they are popping by.
Is it a little strange for Michael to go through all of this effort only for his role to be revealed now? Definitely, but we’re not really the sort to be in control of that.
It does remain a little bit of a secret as to how Neal will be utilized in this episode, other than our assumption that he will be involved in the Underworld somehow. It’s been almost two years since Henry’s father has surfaced in any shape or form, so he and Emma have a little bit of stuff to catch up on.
The 100th episode of “Once Upon a Time” already has a guest-star lineup including Robbie Kay, Barbara Hershey, and Giancarlo Esposito, and if you’re wondering we have almost no idea how the show plans on fitting everyone in with this series. Luckily, it is not really our responsibility to worry about that.
