‘Saturday Night Live’: Deadpool refuses to host (despite fan petitions) with Kanye West spoof

SNL -If you recall earlier this week, there were many headlines / stories out there all about a petition to try to get Deadpool to become the host of “Saturday Night Live.” It’s not Ryan Reynolds we’re talking about here, but actually Deadpool. People wanted the foul-mouthed Marvel character to be in action after his feature film broke a record for the biggest February opening ever at the American box office.

Well, it doesn’t seem like that is happening, mostly because Deadpool himself doesn’t want for him to. In a new video online (you can search for it over on YouTube; it’s too NSFW to post here), you can hear the character on an epic rant spoofing a similar one made by Kanye West. Here is just one part of it:

“I’ve got the biggest opening rated-R movie of all time. Are they f—–g crazy? I’m 50 percent more influential than MC Hammer, Apostle Judas Iscariot, the KIA Sorrento, 10 percent more influential than Barbara Bush, the Muppets, Bob Newhart. 60 percent more influential than the iPhone 5, shredded cheese and Dr. Ruth, 7 percent less influential than the Urban Dictionary.”

The whole thing is ridiculous, but Deadpool’s argument here seems to be mostly that “SNL” took his “Life of Pablo” album and he’s not happy … and he’s too cool for him anyway. The reality here is that there was no way this gig could’ve ever happened in the first place, given that Deadpool swears way too much to ever be featured on that show. Maybe they’ll get Ryan Reynolds at some point and be happy about it.
