‘The Flash’ season 2 spoilers: Earth-2’s (and Killer Frost’s) story far from over
At the end of Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Flash,” we saw at least some progress in terms of separating Earth-1 from Earth-2. After rescuing Jesse and Barry from prison, the two returned to Earth-1 alongside Cisco and Harrison Wells. It was a minor victor, namely because it seems as though the breaches have all been closed, and everyone can breathe a little easier … at least for now.
As for how long that is going to remain the case, let’s just say that we’re not altogether confident. Zoom has proven himself to be very smart and very crafty, and with that in mind, we have to assume that he will conjure up another way to travel to Earth-2. Speaking per Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Todd Helbing confirms that we will see more of Earth-2 this season, and as a result of that, we’ll learn what happened to Killer Frost.
When we last saw this doppelganger of Caitlin Snow, things weren’t looking so hot for her (pun intended). She had fought off Zoom for long enough for some other characters to escape, but it’s hard to be that confident in her ability to survive given that we’ve already seen the villain murder both the Earth-2 versions of Ronnie Raymond and Cisco for thinking about going against him. The difference is that for those two, betrayal was just a thought. In the case of Caitlin, it’s something that she actually executed. That could pose some problems.
Obviously, we want to see her alive if for no other reason than that we don’t want Killer Frost gone from the show yet.
