‘The Walking Dead’ season 6, episode 10: Lauren Cohan on impending expansion

The sixth season of “The Walking Dead” is currently going strong, and in the wake of what was an insane midseason premiere, there are many major changes coming up. There’s a presumed time jump for one, and to go along with that, we’re also going to be meeting new characters and seeing the town of Alexandria rebuild and try to become a safe zone once again. It’s pretty clear that this is not going to keep some threats from turning up, though; after all, this is a show that is going to be featuring Negan by the time we make it to the end of the season.

In previewing some of the outward expansion coming up for the series, which could include the Hilltop Colony and some other locales, Lauren Cohan a.k.a. Maggie had the following message to pass along to Entertainment Weekly:

“Going forward, we’re reunited and stronger, but as a group we need to expand — not just with babies, but we need to expand, and we’re going to go out into a new territory that’s going to really open up the next level of the show. You’ve seen the group look for new safeholds, but the next place we find is going to be the beginning of the show as we’ve come to know it.”

If you are a fan of the comic books, then you already know that there are quite a few awesome things that you can expect to see. However, if you are a new viewer for the show … let’s just say that (somehow) some of the best material is still to come.
