‘The Blacklist’ season 3, episode 16 preview: Megan Boone’s Liz searches for answers on her mom

There is a new episode of “The Blacklist” coming your way on NBC in one week’s time entitled “The Caretaker,” and based on some of what we know right now, there could be a few interesting threads in this story that connect Liz Keen more to her mother. While pregnant with her old child this is something that she has tried to seek out more and more, and in turn, this is something that we expect to find a whole lot more about before we make it to the end of the season.

For now, the synopsis below gives you a little bit better of a sense as to what is going to be coming up:

“After a State Department official is found dead in Beijing, Red (James Spader) and Liz (Megan Boone) link the murder to a secret keeper known as “The Caretaker,” who maintains an impenetrable safety deposit vault for criminals. Red and Liz work with the task force to find the Caretaker and his collection of lethal and classified secrets. Meanwhile, Tom (Ryan Eggold) makes a risky decision, while Liz persists on her quest to find out more about her mother.”

Update: The promo is below, and it gives you some good insight into the Caretaker character … plus also something that may officially divide Liz and Red in a way that they have not been before now. Let’s just say that a lie may be at the center of it.
