‘Legends of Tomorrow’ episode 6 preview: Stephen Amell surfaces as Oliver (goatee included) in ‘Star City 2046’

The next new episode of DC’s “Legends of Tomorrow” is poised to be a big one, at least if some of the early information on the show is to be believed. “Star City 2046” is going to take a look at what could be a specific future of Oliver Queen if Vandal Savage isn’t stopped … and to go along with that is some rather-surprising facial hair.

Yes, this version of Oliver is actually sporting the famed goatee of the Green Arrow, something that both Stephen Amell (and also many viewers) thought at one point was never going to happen. This is going to be fun, but you shouldn’t take too much stock in it since who knows? If Vandal Savage is stopped, then maybe this doesn’t happen and Oliver can get an early retirement of some sort.

Earlier today, Amell posted some of his first photos of the characters (see below), and it certainly looks like he is having fun with this part already. The synopsis below, meanwhile, gives you a few more details in regards to the story of the hour:

“When a malfunction sends the Waverider crashing into 2046 Star City, our heroes face a startling version of their own future where they never stop Savage (guest star Casper Crump) and never return home. The city is in ruins and overrun by criminals, which thrills Rory (Dominic Purcell). Sara (Caity Lotz) is despondent over the destruction of her home and stunned when she learns what happened to her old friend, Oliver Queen (guest star Stephen Amell).”
