Jimmy Kimmel’s post-Oscars show adds Ben Affleck, Tracy Morgan, many more

Jimmy Kimmel -

There are many traditions with ABC’s telecast of the Oscars, and one of the biggest ones always revolves around Jimmy Kimmel doing a big show following it airing. That is going to be continuing for this year.

Today, Kimmel revealed that Mike Tyson, Jesse Eisenberg, Henry Cavill, J.K. Simmons, Ben Affleck, and Tracy Morgan are among the first batch of celebrities who will be appearing, but we have to assume that more coming, especially when it comes to women unless Jimmy is doing some sort of male-centric sketch. Also, there’s clearly a big promotional push in here for the upcoming “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice,” given that three of these people are all playing a big part in this movie.

The Oscars special traditionally is a way for Jimmy to play around with some of the biggest stars in the business; not only that, but it also marks a chance to create some really remarkable viral videos. There is probably no better shot for the show all year to pull in viewers, and with that we have every expectation in the world that he is going to pull this off yet again.

The funny thing right now is that with so much controversy floating around out there about the Oscars at the moment, getting to check out Jimmy’s show may be almost preferable in comparison. You know that it is going to be looser and a little bit more entertaining than anything the Academy gives you, save for maybe Chris Rock hosting the show.
