‘Chicago PD’ season 3, episode 16 review: The death of a child brings Voight, Lindsay into the fold

Chicago PD -Tonight’s episode of “Chicago PD” is focusing on a difficult topic: The violent death of a child. Any murder is difficult for our team, but when it comes to the death of a child it really has the department charged up to bring in the person responsible for it.

After the death of her child, Noah, the mother says that the father, Brian, was the person responsible for the death – not because he actually shot his son, but because he promised to leave the gang life once his son was born, and ended up going back to it not too long afterwards. When Brian is questioned about the gang he belongs to, he says that he gave up that life the day Noah was born, but the death is clearly gang related, so who’s telling the truth?

The gang that shot Noah was looking to get back at a man named Bryan Johnson, but they targeted the wrong Bryan Johnson and shot Brian Johnson’s son instead. So what was the reason for this gang to go after Noah? Because the sister of one of the men was assaulted by a Bryan Johnson and this was retaliation. Our team is able to put the pieces together and are able to get some justice for Noah.

Tonight’s episode of “Chicago PD” is easily one of the most emotionally charged episodes they’ve had in a long time, but the death of a child always hits hard and are the toughest cases to watch. If you were hoping to get some updates on our main cast, then this probably wasn’t the episode you were hoping to see this week since there were none, but if you wanted to see a dark and harrowing case then this was right up your alley! Episode grade: B
