‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ season 6, episode 13 review: Did Yolanda Hadid threaten to expose Kyle Richards?
On the last episode of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” we saw Yolanda Hadid blow up at Lisa Rinna over comments insinuating that Yolanda is faking her illness (and these comments were not even made by Lisa). Although the fight ended in a hug, it’s easy to see that this issue isn’t really resolved.
Some time has passed and Yolanda says that everything is fine between her and Lisa R., but when some of the ladies wonder more about Yolanda’s “bipolar” comment it opens the floodgate. Yolanda says again that she “could’ve” said it (about Lisa R.), but she didn’t (even though she has now talked about it twice on TV), and Kyle suggests that this is a very similar situation to Lisa R. talking about someone else saying Yolanda might have Munchhausen disease (did you follow all that?). Yolanda gets defensive about Kyle and Lisa whispering at the table about this whole thing and tells Kyle that she “holds a lot in the vault” about her. Kyle asked if she was threatening her, and Yolanda says no, but watching this scene unfold made us very uncomfortable for Kyle. The lunch ended with Lisa V. leaving early after Yolanda started in on her about her kids again. Do these women ever resolve anything?
Later Yolanda sends an email to Kyle (and includes all of the other women in on it) that she feels is scolding her – Yolanda feels that she wasn’t scolding anyone and just wanted to include all the other ladies since everyone was at the lunch. After hearing parts of the email from the ladies, we felt a little scolded ourselves. This disagreement was originally between a small group of ladies, and now everyone’s involved.
We saw Kathryn and Erika have a lunch together alone for the first time and the talk turned to Lisa V. While Erika feels that Lisa V. can be a little crafty, Kathryn thought she was pretty genuine. Erika revealed that she doesn’t trust women very easily, but she did open up to Kathryn – who in turn later went and told Lisa V. everything Erika said to her! We aren’t sure why Kathryn decided to share her private conversation with Erika, it was very weird and not only is going to hurt her very new relationship with Erika, but also exposes herself to the other ladies as someone that might not be the best at keeping conversations quiet.
There was a lot of fighting in this episode and typically they are not our favorites. We tend to enjoy the episodes that have ridiculous extravagance, like Erika’s chapel, or Lisa’s ponies, more so then these episodes that bring up the same fights over and over again (and we didn’t even mention the fact that Eileen brought up her fight with Lisa V. from the Hamptons again!). The ladies seemed very frustrated in this episode and we felt that way watching it. Episode grade: C+
