‘The Flash’ season 2, episode 14 video: Can Earth-2 Barry save the day?
We’re a matter of hours away from Tuesday night’s new episode of “The Flash,” and this should provide us with a few other opportunities to bounce up and down with excitement. Maybe we have not been clear enough about this just yet, so it bears repeating that we think that “Welcome to Earth-2” this past week may be one of the greatest episodes of the show we’ve seen. It was fun, dangerous, and wonderfully fast-paced.
Now, we have “Escape from Earth-2,” an episode that could be an opportunity to learn more about Zoom, Killer Frost, and also the awkward mystery-in-an-enigma known as Earth-2 Barry Allen. His glasses make him look like he is a clock repairman, and his personality makes you wonder how he ever snagged someone as confident as Iris West. He’s socially awkward to say the least, and while he is great at his job, he doesn’t really inspire a whole lot of hope in his abilities when you first see him.
Unfortunately for Cisco and Harry, they may be totally reliant on this incarnation of Barry in the event that they want to save The Flash and Harry’s daughter from Zoom. They want to destroy him, but in order to do that, they have to first and foremost find him. This is a job for Killer Frost! Unfortunately they don’t know quite where she is, so with that they will need the help of Earth-2 Barry to try and track her down, and then convince her that they all have a common enemy that is worth defeating.
Do we think that taking on a super-powerful villain is really the smartest move for some of these people? Probably not, but let’s be real here: They don’t have much of a choice. If they do nothing Zoom wins, and Harry’s not going to let his daughter go.
