‘Better Call Saul’ season 2, episode 2 preview: First look at ‘Cobbler,’ the future

Better Call Saul season 2Tonight, the premiere of “Better Call Saul” contained everything from Jimmy and Kim playing Bonnie & Clyde to seeing Gene leave his mark on the trash room of his local mall. This episode was not always the most exciting compared to others in the past, but it still reminded us of why we love this show so much.

So where are we going from here? Next week’s new episode is entitled “Cobbler,” and you see the synopsis below (via TV Guide) for more news on what to expect:

“Mike brokers a deal to keep a potentially messy situation from unraveling. Meanwhile, Jimmy works to exonerate an eccentric client.”

First of all, we are always excited to see more Mike! He was almost a non-factor over the course of Monday night’s episode after he sent Daniel away to work on his own. AMC aired a lengthy promo after the show that featured some highlights from the rest of the season, and they revealed a few important things:

1. We’re going to see the return of Chuck, so don’t worry too much about that.

2. Unsurprisingly, Kim is going to be getting upset at Jimmy for some of his latest actions.

3. Mike will have a big role to play still, and so will Nacho.

In the end, there are a lot of great things still to come this season, and it’s going to run the gamut in between some great funny moments and also some times that are dark, serious, and show more of the descent into the man that became Saul Goodman.
