‘Rizzoli & Isles’ season 7 begins filming right before season 6 returns

For everyone who is looking forward to season 6 of “Rizzoli & Isles” returning to TNT with all-new episodes starting on Tuesday, we come bearing some other great news right away: There final new episodes of the series have started up production!

As star Angie Harmon revealed on Twitter last week, filming has begun in Los Angeles for the last batch of installments, which will air on TNT this summer. While we still feel as though this is a show that could’ve aired to decent success for at least a couple more years, we understand the reasoning for the series ending now. You’re getting a chance to quit while you’re ahead, and while there are a ton of people still watching and appreciating what you are doing. One of the saddest feelings out there is that you are forgotten when your show is over, and that will not happen here.

As for how “Rizzoli & Isles” will come to a close, that is something that is firmly still up for debate. We imagine that Harmon’s Jane and Sasha Alexander’s Maura will have a chance to potentially go out winners, mostly because we’ve never thought of this as a show destined to give you any sort of depressing ending. We feel like the producers want you to see that their work and the cases that they have solved certainly matter, and we’ll get to see some further evidence of that over time.

You better believe that we’ll have some more updates on “Rizzoli & Isles” over time this season, so be on the hunt for that after every new episode!
