ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 11 video: New Stana Katic – Nathan Fillion scene!

It’s unusual that we have so much to discuss surrounding “Castle” over the course of two days, but you can thank ABC for that for some of its scheduling choices.

Following last night’s “Witness for the Prosecution,” there is another episode airing on the network tonight entitled “Dead Red,” and we’ve got a preview for it below via TV Guide that is certainly funny and then some. In this peek, you get a chance to see Rick and Kate get a visit from a certain Russian official, one that has a certain love for Richard Castle’s mystery novels and is extremely disappointed to learn that the two parties were not actually working together anymore.

The great news about this episode already is that it’s another chance to see Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion get to react to something absurd; their differing reactions to this overly-aggressive guy is worthy of a few laughs. While the two may not be in the field together as often these days, the show is finding some creative ways to use them.

While on the surface this guy certainly appears to be rather jovial, here’s something that Rick has to worry about: Is he really the sort of person you want to be working with on a case? Over the course of this episode he may have a few surprises up his sleeve, and they could lead to some pretty awkward situations and problems.

For those of you who are running a little behind on “Castle,” don’t worry: You’ll have a full week to play catch-up after this episode before the next one premieres on ABC.
