Grammys 2016: Where to watch, live-stream red carpet pre-show
What’s this, an awards show on a Monday? It may be strange, but that for whatever reason is what CBS and the Grammys deciding to do. There is a precedent for this, at least in that NBC has aired the Emmys before on a Monday thanks to their football schedule. This year, our guess is that CBS did not want to air the music awards show on Valentine’s Day, and this was an easy way to remedy that.
You can of course watch the awards-show itself on CBS starting at 8:00 p.m. Eastern time, but for those of you looking for some red-carpet coverage, we’ve got some of the details for you right now!
Where to watch – While there obnoxious camera angles are a bit much, E! will start to air coverage of the red carpet at 4:00 p.m. Eastern / 1:00 p.m. Pacific. That’s an early start, but there are a ton of people who are going to be walking along the red carpet. Therefore, there’s a chance to some shenanigans to take place.
Where to live stream – As with past years, E! will be offering up a live stream for those of you who are away from your live. It will be available at this link starting at 5:55 p.m. Eastern time / 2:55 Pacific. We have no idea why in the world the network chooses this bizarre time to start their stream, but this is what they tend to do with the majority of these. Don’t think of this as anything atypical.
While music is not exactly the forte of what we do here at CarterMatt, we’re going to be presenting some assorted highlights throughout the night as some performers hit the stage … and as awards are handed out. You’ll be able to see some of those highlights over at the link here.
