‘Pretty Little Liars’ season 6, episode 16 video: Is Spencer trying to tell her mom something?

So far, the story for Spencer Hastings on “Pretty Little Liars” season 6 is certainly not one that we were able to really anticipate going into it. We’re not surprised necessarily that she has spent a significant amount of time in Washington DC, but we didn’t see her mother entering politics coming into the winter half of the season.

In the sneak peek below for Tuesday’s episode, it feels as though Troian Bellisario’s character is trying to tell her mother something, but it’s not entirely clear just what that something is. Think of this as a case of there being simply not enough time in order to properly get the words out. Does Spencer want to? Definitely, but it’s not exactly easy when you think about everything that is going on with Veronica and her schedule. Her wranglers are really doing just that: Wrangling her from one interview to the next without too much regard for anything.

Ultimately, whatever Spencer wants to say to her mom here doesn’t come out, simply because she doesn’t have the time or attention to have it happen. Suffice it to say, there are going to be many more moments of contention between these two before we make it to the end of the season, and we imagine that some secrets will (eventually) be revealed. They have to, or we’re not going to have a whole lot to look forward to content-wise. This is a show that makes its bread and butter finding ways to surprise you.
