‘The Bachelor at 20’: The Jade Roper – Tanner Tolbert ‘surprise’ wedding

Tonight is definitely a busy night for the “Bachelor” franchise, given that ABC is basically airing a 20-season anniversary special chronicling some of the greatest, silliest, and most romantic moments in the history of the show. For many of you who are nostalgia-freaks, we envision that this special is right up your alley.

For everyone else … well, it’s a glorified clip show with a few new segments. You get some updates on the show’s established couples, and we are at least happy that they are recognizing now the existence of Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried. We’re not entirely sure why they have not received more face time / updates over the course of the series’ run, given that they have been one of the better examples of a normal couple who managed to find love as a result of this show.

Tonight, Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert are getting married in a romantic ceremony that has been hyped-up extensively as some sort of “surprise,” even though almost everyone out there in the universe knows more or less that it happened. There were many “Bachelor” alumni in attendance for the big ceremony, while none other than Chris Harrison himself served as the officiant.

While we’re not going to have a direct account of everything that happened over the course of the evening, we’re going to open up this article to you.
