‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 14 video: Brandon and … a haunted bar?

“Other things to do … but not better.”

Is Brandon growing up right before our lines on “The Fosters“? This line that he dishes out to Courtney in the sneak peek below for Monday night’s new episode may be one of his smoothest to date. In this scene he’s back at the bar that visited and did some piano-playing a few weeks back, and Courtney is turning into quite a love-interest candidate for him. She’s someone who is very different from anyone that he has been around for most of his life, and she’s certainly coming from a different place thanks to her job and some of what’s looking for … including from an employment standpoint.

Of course, the larger question for Brandon and Courtney in the long-term could be this: Does he genuinely want to be with her, or is looking at this as yet another Callie distraction? That’s one of the reasons seemingly why he has fully immersed himself in the world of his Romeo & Juliet production for his senior project … not that we ever thought it was a good idea for him to be working on an adaptation of a story of star-crossed lovers in rather forbidden circumstances.

We figure that we’ll get some answers to these questions coming up in due time, but simultaneously, we’re also not sure that “The Fosters” is feeling just a whole lot of pressure at this very moment to try and resolve things. Why would they when you consider just how much more of a story they have left to tell this season?
