ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 10 video: Nathan Fillion, Stana Katic, and hand signals!
What’s with there being a new episode of “Castle” Sunday night? We understand the confusion, but there is a reason for it: Making sure there is enough time in the schedule to air the remainder of the eighth season.
Originally, season 8 was supposed to return with “Tone Death” starting on February 1, but ABC opted to delay thanks to a combination of the Iowa Caucuses / giving “Bachelor Live” an opportunity to air for one more week. As a result of that, “Tone Death” aired on the eighth, and the network needed to jam another episode in somewhere else. This is why we are getting “Witness for the Prosecution” on Sunday night, and then “Dead Red” just 24 hours later. “Castle” tonight is following up a “Bachelor” special celebrating 20 seasons of the show … one that will also include the wedding of Jade Roper and Tanner Tolbert.
The sneak peek for “Castle” below is a fun one, since it revolves around the dilemma of Castle (Nathan Fillion) being on the witness stand as they seek to close out a murder case. At first, Rick shows a little bit of hesitancy that Beckett (Stana Katic) is there thanks to the two of them keeping their relationship under wraps, but she’s quick to inform him that it is really not too big of a deal because even if they weren’t together, it would be strange for her to not show up.
From there, Castle proceeds to devise a rather silly hand-signal in order to tell her that he loves her … and thus ends the sneak peek with a few laughs. We’ll see how Rick does on the stand, but we have to say for now that we’re not altogether convinced about his ability to keep things from going down a very silly road.

Right on Georgee. Seems to me that the show runners fell in love with long inane story lines in season six and cannot see the error of their ways. Once they became in love with them that is all that we have had. LokSat and Castle’s disappearance are the ones making the airways now. All these long story lines do is to drag the solution to a relatively case out for a season or more while the fans become increasingly bored until they stop watching.

Our show runners had 77 days to rewrite the silly separation of Rick and Kate and didn’t period. How did that elephant get in here?
