‘Saturday Night Live’: Jonah Hill hosting March 5 show; Future to perform

SNL -Tonight, we certainly had an episode of “Saturday Night Live” that generated a lot of attention going into it. Melissa McCarthy was a noteworthy host, but it’s interesting that Kanye West had more attention going into it than she did.

There was one other thing that we were also interested in: Who was going to be hosting the next new episode. It hadn’t been announced going into the show, and we didn’t even know when it was going to air. Now, we know for sure that Jonah Hill is going to be hosting the March 5 edition of the show, with Future set as the musical guest for the night. It’s a little bit of a surprise if only because we did not see his name in our head as a potential host for the show right around now. Maybe he has a movie coming up, since we’re completely out of that loop for the most part.

Hill has hosted the show enough to have his own major character in Adam Grossman, who has been incredibly fun every time that we’ve seen him. We’d be shocked if that character doesn’t return coming up in some shape or form. As for Future, we’re just glad that there is more of a hip-hop representation on the show at the moment even beyond the Kanye appearance tonight. They’ve really done a good job over the course of this season giving you a variety of genres; we’ve had pop in Selena Gomez, and then also country in Chris Stapleton.
