‘Scorpion’ season 2 spoilers: Will Happy, Toby relationship help further Walter, Paige along?

It has not taken too much time at all with “Scorpion” to realize that Walter and Paige are most likely endgame for each other, and as a result of that it has led to one question lingering in a rather specific way: When is it going to happen? Is the show really going to make you wait until the end of a fourth or fifth season to give you two characters together who we want to see as an item right now?

Well, there’s no firm answer to this at the moment, but based on Eddie Kaye Thomas’ latest comments to Entertainment Weekly, he feels almost like his character Toby getting together with Happy will help to ensure that there is move made there at some point in the near future:

“I think it puts a lot of pressure on [Walter] … I imagine it’s like an awkward double date where one couple can’t stop making out and they’re all over each other, and the other couple likes each other, but no one has made the first move yet. It creates awkwardness and brings up what obviously should be happening. I don’t think it’s just the audience at home watching it, everybody working at Scorpion sees how into each other they are. It’ll turn up the heat under Walter a little bit.”

It does already feel clear to us for many reasons that Paige is the right person for Walter, given that she not only seems to understand some of his quirks and how to deal with them, but she’ll be patient since she realizes that it is worth it. While he may come across at times as aloof and a little bit distant, he is someone with a big heart in the end who will care for both her and her son Ralph.
