‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Will Emily Ferguson meet Ben Higgins’ parents … and win them over?

While the official Hometown Dates are happening on “The Bachelor” a week from Monday night’s new episode, there is still a strong hometown component to this episode courtesy of us returning to Ben Higgins’ home in Warsaw, Indiana. Some of the women will get a chance to see where he grew up, and for Emily Ferguson in particular, she’s going to get a chance to meet his family!

The synopsis below gives you a little bit of an indication as to what to expect:

“Emily is simultaneously thrilled and nervous when she learns that she will meet Ben’s parents. The couple spends the afternoon with the two most important people in Ben’s life. Will Emily make a good first impression and will this give her an advantage over the other women?”

Here’s what makes us very concerned for Emily on this date, even though meeting the parents is typically an important date. You look at people like Caila Quinn, Lauren Bushnell, and JoJo Fletcher, they will have all gone on two one-on-one dates by the time this date happens. Meanwhile, this is technically Emily’s first one-on-one, since she’s been effectively now on two other two-on-one dates and survived both of those. Typically having the last one-on-one date before hometowns can lead to bad news. Also, the same goes for going on a two-on-one date at all. Typically the show’s lead would never subject someone they are serious about to one of these in fear of scaring them away.
