‘The 100’ season 3: Can Lexa see Clarke’s side? Alycia Debnam-Carey explains

The 100 -There are very few relationships on TV right now that are anywhere near as complex as what we’ve seen from Clarke and Lexa on “The 100.” There are some seriously-strong romantic notes there, but at the same time, there are also so many things standing in their way. For one, you have to remember precisely where the two stand right now.

Alycia Debnam-Carey talked a little bit about the character recently to IGN, and she explained that she thinks her character does understand somewhat where Clarke is coming from, and at the same time, this may be one of the reasons that the two characters are around each other still:

“I think Lexa makes choices based on necessity and she’s very logical about her choices but she’s not immune to the consequences. She realizes the consequences, but will deal with them when they come. I think she’s relieved that Clarke’s alive, obviously, because she wants to save her, but she made that choice and she will always stick by that choice. When she’s made it, that’s how it is.”

To us, one of the most interesting mysteries on this show revolves around how much we are really going to even see Debnam-Carey, since you have to remember for a minute here that she is a series regular over on “Fear the Walking Dead” to go along with what she’s doing here. How long can the show keep her around in its orbit, and keep fans of Clarke and Lexa happy? Time will ultimately tell.
