Ratings: ‘The Flash’ season 2 hits new high; ‘Limitless’ up; ‘Fresh Off the Boat’ down
Tuesday night was a great night for a certain Scarlet Speedster, at least when you look at some of the ratings. Let’s not waste any time on the intro before diving in.
The winners – “The Flash” ended up scoring a 1.6 in the 18-49 demographic, its best rating (if it holds) since December of 2014. Given how amazing that the episode “Welcome to Earth-2” was, we have to imagine that this is only going to help the show continue to dominate in the numbers moving forward. Now, if only it could send some of its magic over to “Legends of Tomorrow” or “Arrow,” given that at the moment these shows could use a similar boost.
“The Flash” also ended up helping “iZombie” rise in its own right to a 0.6 rating, and the only other major improvement we can attest to for the night was “Limitless,” which rose up to a 1.3.
The losers – It was still not a great night for the ABC comedy block. While “The Muppets” was reasonably consistent at a 0.9, this is still a miserable rating and there’s nothing about this that inspires good news. Meanwhile, “Fresh Off the Boat” ended up falling down to a 1.2 rating, one of the lowest figures we’ve seen for it. (Specifically, this ties its series-low rating from December.)
Also, “What Would You Do?” (0.6) on ABC is drawing miserable numbers, which to us really isn’t that much of a surprise given that we find this for the most part to be a rather miserable show. (Yes, we understand that a ton of work goes into making the show, but we just find the entire concept of it to be inherently rather depressing.)
