‘Once Upon a Time’ season 5 spoilers: Actresses cast for Regina – Zelena flashbacks

While we’ve gone back in time on “Once Upon a Time” before to see where Regina was earlier in her life, but not until now have we examined this story alongside that of Zelena. There’s an upcoming episode this season (it’ll be the 19th to air) entitled “Sisters” that will focus on these two characters, and we now know precisely who will be playing them.

As reported by TVLine, recent “Agents of SHIELD” guest star Ava Acres has been booked in the role of a young Regina for this episode, while Isabella Blake-Thomas will play Zelena. Given that this episode is coming so late in the season, it would certainly be nice to assume that there is a significant reason why we’re getting it right now.

What we do know is that despite being relegated off to Oz for the time being, there is still something significant coming for the Zelena character played in the present by Rebecca Mader. We’ll get a chance to see her with Dorothy once more, and we imagine that there could be revenge on her mind in the event that she does ever make it back to Storybrooke.

Until that time, we know that many characters are definitely going to have their hands full when you think about where we are heading in the form of the Underworld. This is a place where there are many monsters, and people who could want to make their presence felt on our heroes once more. New episodes will start to air on Sunday, March 6.
