‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ star Teresa Giudice speaks on prison in first TV interview
It was only a matter of time before Teresa Giudice found an opportunity to tell her story about being in prison, and she is starting to do that right now. She has a new prison memoir entitled Turning the Tables (fitting given her iconic “Real Housewives of New Jersey” scene), and she also appeared on “Good Morning America” this week to explain some of what her experience was like.
As you would expect, prison at the Federal Correctional Institution in Danbury, Connecticut was pretty terrible:
“There was mold in the bathrooms, there was not running water constantly. The showers were freezing cold. It was hell. It was definitely living in hell.”
If there is one thing that may surprise you about Giudice’s comments, it is her defense for the most part of some of the other women she spent time with, calling some of them “amazing” and saying that they all “help each other” for the most part. While there were times when she was singled out, she did her best in order to ensure that she steered clear of some of the drama that was in there. She ultimately said that a good percentage of it was a million times worse than anything that she would encounter on the Bravo reality show.
In the end, we certainly expect that there are going to be many more Teresa interviews at some point in the future. Be on the lookout for some more!
