ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 8, episode 9: ‘Tone Death’ teases on Stana Katic, Nathan Fillion, Susan Sullivan stories
With Monday night’s new episode of “Castle” entitled “Tone Death” a matter of just one day away, we are here with good news: You’re probably going to enjoy this episode very much if you’re a longtime fan of the show. We’re not going to be spoiling anything big in this article, but since we had a chance to watch in advance, we thought we’d at least give you five quick teases to ease the waiting until the installment airs.
1. There will be singing, and plenty of it! There will be at least two cast members who get in on the action at some point in the episode; Seamus Dever told us this past week that one of them will be Esposito, and you’ll have to wait and see who the other one is.
2. Castle and Beckett are going to have a nice moment at the start of the episode, and for those of you who are wanting to see Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic play roles that are more at the heart of the show’s roots, you are going to get that chance and then some here.
3. This is a pretty good episode for Susan Sullivan, given that Martha has a personal connection to the victim.
4. Castle and Beckett lying about the state of their relationship only gets funnier and funnier as the episode goes on.
5. While the word “LokSat” is mentioned, don’t expect this to be an episode that resolves any long-standing mythology.
More than anything else, this episode is a hoot. It reminds us of some of the earlier seasons of the show, it gives you a lot of Castle and Beckett together, and Ryan and Esposito have some very solid scenes, as well.
We’ll have our full review of “Tone Death” up tomorrow night. For now, head over here to get some other TV news on everything we cover, sent right over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: ABC.)
