‘The 100’ season 3, episode 3 reaction: Show boss on the latest Clarke / Lexa development

The 100 -The 100” is a show with many ‘ships constantly running rampant all over the internet, but is there one more popular than Clarke and Lexa? Given that we see constant trending topics on Twitter all about them, it’s hard to really know for certain.

What we do know, however, is that based on tonight’s episode these two are clearly still not on the same page. They may be staying in close proximity in the near future, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that it is because of romance. As executive producer Jason Rotherberg says to TVLine, one of the main reasons may simply be the fact that Clarke wants to keep tabs for a little while:

“When Clarke agrees to stay, she’s doing it largely because she still doesn’t trust Lexa … Now that the Sky People have become the 13th Clan, they need an ambassador — and who better than ‘Wanheda’ to stay there and make sure Lexa follows through on what she promised? At the same time, there’s no doubt that Clarke feels tremendous amounts of attraction towards Lexa, but it’s something she’s still resisting. As you saw, when she tried to kill her this week, she couldn’t; there’s something too strong there for her to fight.”

We definitely imagine that this is going to be an interesting storyline to follow moving forward … mostly because we think it’s only a matter of time before something happens again. Sure, there’s a lot of animosity right now, but who knows what the future is going to hold?
