‘Suits’ season 5, episode 12: Answer to key Mike Ross question coming soon…

Suits -Just in case you needed a further reason to watch tonight’s all-new episode of “Suits,” here it is: You will learn who is responsible for turning Mike Ross in to the authorities. This was confirmed this afternoon in a post on Twitter from show creator Aaron Korsh.

In trying to figure out who it is, there are a wide array of candidates. Maybe some have been ruled out here and there in various interviews, but we haven’t kept track of much of that. We feel like there are a few different components that are key in trying to answer this question completely.

1. How well does this person know Mike? – In order to make such a move, we figure that there has to be at least a certain air of familiarity there between the two.

2. Is this person concerned about it coming back on them? – We feel like there are certainly people in this universe not as interested in rocking the boat, and as a result of that probably won’t spill the beans.

3. What’s the motivation? – For example, what would someone like Jessica or Donna gain in trying to damage the reputation of one of their own? Whoever did this had to be out to either hurt Mike, Harvey, or Jessica. It’s either that or they did this as a means of protecting someone else.

It is using the latter sentiment that it makes the most sense to say that someone in Rachel’s family is beyond the move. They know the two are about to get married, and if Rachel wouldn’t listen to reason (or if they at least perceived it this way), why not go on the offensive? We also cannot deny that there was a little inkling we got last week that it could be Rachel herself, mostly because of this notion: Maybe she wants to get this secret out of the way so that they can have a normal life, and she is confident that Mike would be able to get off the hook for the charges somehow.

Granted, we still would be shocked if it was Rachel. Taking that risk would be a huge jump for her character.
