‘The Fosters’ season 3, episode 12 review: Did someone out Brandon and Callie’s past?
Monday night’s new episode of “The Fosters” spent a lot of time trying to unravel many of the shockers that you saw in the winter premiere, and one of the major things that happened was Stef’s diagnosis. While her life is not in danger just yet, she could be if there is nothing that is done on the subject.
By the time we made it to the end of the episode, we still don’t think anything is set in stone when it comes to planning for the future. There was tension as to what Stef should do, and we do think that there is not going to be a decision for some time. She wants to do the right thing, and we totally get that.
For Callie in this episode, she certainly had a variety of her own struggles as she had to figure out who posted something on Fost & Found stating that she had a past with one of her foster siblings. Did something out her and Brandon’s history? He swore that he told no one, and instead she’s not left with a dilemma. First, what if it was someone talking about what happened with her and Liam, terrible as it was? Regardless of the history, it really doesn’t quite matter much. She has to wonder whether or not she will be the right representative for the group given what is out there.
While the whole class election storyline is somewhat “meh” for us, we eventually saw tonight Brandon tonight trying to come up with the perfect distraction for himself: A school project. We feel like it’s smart, but is choosing something like Romeo & Juliet really the right thing to distract himself from Callie? We’re not quite sure.
This episode had its moments, but compared to the premiere, it wasn’t like nearly as much took place. Grade: B-.
