‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ season 8, episode 13 review: Kenya Moore doesn’t take bad news well…
What we had on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” was not a failure to communicate. Instead, it can be described more or less as a failure of one person to accept what another person was communicating towards them.
After Kenya Moore bailed on a meeting with Cynthia Bailey to discuss an upcoming ad she’s working on, she decided to go ahead and give the power instead to Kim Fields, who decided that she didn’t really need Kenya’s help. While in Jamaica, Kenya didn’t handle the news well. We do think that Cynthia could’ve done more to own the decision rather leaving it up to Kim, but we won’t deny that the end result were entertaining. Kenya hollered and complained about the decision, while at the same time also went at Kim repeatedly.
Have you ever seen what happens when someone goes at someone else very aggressively, hoping to get a reaction, and instead gets none? This is what seemed to happen with Kenya and Kim, as the latter really had no interest in dealing with anything that Kenya was saying. She was just happy to continue to go about her business.
In the end, nothing was really resolved, and perhaps the truly remarkable thing is that this whole situation completely overshadowed NeNe Leakes returning and trying to convince Cynthia to not be BFFs with Kenya. This was certainly entertaining in a variety of different ways, and it helped to make this one crazy / incomprehensible episode. Grade: B-.
