‘The Originals’ season 3 spoilers: News on Nathaniel Buzolic’s next appearance

Kol is one of the most popular characters within the whole “Vampire Diaries” – “The Originals” universe, and with that it’s rather unfortunate that he also happens to be a character you don’t exactly see a whole lot of. Luckily, that will be changing by the time we get to the upcoming February 19 episode entitled “Heart-Shaped Box.” Not only that, but you’ll get to see him in the present played by none other than Nathaniel Buzolic!

Just in case you’re wondering how in the world this all takes shape, the synopsis below offers up a little bit of information:

“Determined to make her ultimate move against the Mikaelson brothers, Aurora (guest star Rebecca Breeds) uses Freya (Riley Voelkel) as bait to lure Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Elijah (Daniel Gillies) into a dangerous trap. Meanwhile, after being recruited by The Strix’s powerful coven of witches to perform a spell that could save the lives of her closest friends, Davina (Danielle Campbell) finds a way to conjure up Kol (guest star Nathaniel Buzolic), the only person who may know the key ingredient to completing the spell. Finally, Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) is forced to make a heartbreaking sacrifice.”

Now that we’ve written all of this, who wants to bet that the Hayley storyline is going to be one of the most emotional ones of the episode, even if all we have of it here is the tiniest of teases? Sometimes, that is just the way that this all works, since you cannot tease too much about a single story in advance.
