Ratings: ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ ‘The 100’ season 3 fall; ‘You, Me, the Apocalypse’ starts low

You know you’ve got an interesting / unfortunate day of ratings reporting ahead when you realize that the majority of the news that you have to report is not good. It’s not that the majority of it is appalling by any means, but Thursday was just a ho-hum night on TV.

The winners – For now, “Beyond the Tank” (1.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic) does hold a slight edge over the week before, while “The Blacklist” (1.6) also improved ever-so-slightly but not even to really show up in the raw data. That, for the time being, is mostly it.

The losers – While it may be unfair to say that “Legends of Tomorrow” is a loser with a 1.1 (down just over 10% from the premiere), we’d only consider it a winner if it stayed almost equal with the week before. You have to expect shows to lose a little bit of momentum from one week to the next, so we’ll see what happens when we get around to episode 3. Meanwhile, “The 100” also dropped to a 0.6. That’s still enough to likely ensure a season 4 renewal, but we are still a little ways away from seeing if the show can be consistent.

Elsewhere, NBC premiered “You, Me, and the Apocalypse” without a whole lot of buzz, and with only a 1.2 rating. Since the series is a co-production the network probably won’t be as enraged if it bombs as they would be otherwise. This ratings is in the end probably acceptable given the ratings for the end of “Heroes: Reborn”; we just have to see what happens with it the rest of the season.
