‘Legends of Tomorrow’ spoilers: Stephen Amell to appear as 2046 version of Oliver Queen

LegendsWe knew that “Legends of Tomorrow” was going to play a lot with the concept of time, and what can happen many years down the road with many established characters. For Oliver Queen, this may mean looking very different in the future from what he looks like now.

According to Entertainment Weekly, Stephen Amell is going to appear in the upcoming sixth episode of the season, where he will be sporting a different look and being a very different version of the character to what we’ve seen on “Arrow.” Here is what executive producer Marc Guggenheim had to say:

“Every once and a while, we do an episode where the 10-year-old me has to pinch himself … We’re not only introducing our version of Connor Hawke to our universe, we’re going to meet the 2046 version of Oliver Queen, and Stephen Amell is going to be reprising his role from Arrow. As an added bonus to comic-book fans, Oliver is missing his left arm and will be sporting a goatee, in a nod to the character’s appearance in the seminal Dark Knight Returns. We think this episode features some of the coolest things we’ve ever done.”

Connor Hawke is in the comics the son of Oliver Queen, which is why many fans believed that William, his child with Samantha, was going to be said superhero down the road. However, it has since been confirmed that this is not the case, and while it’s awesome to know that Hawke will be around on the show, the specifics surrounding his role remain to be seen.
