‘American Idol 15’ video: Jessica Cabral performs at Hollywood Week!

During the final week of “American Idol” auditions, Jessica Cabral wasted almost zero time impressing us with a really fantastic audition. With that, can we start to hope now that she makes it through Hollywood Week unscathed?

Based on one of the new previews below courtesy of Fox, she’s going to at least make it through the solo performance round just fine. We don’t get to see a whole lot from her, but based on what we do, she certainly sounds like she is going to be doing just fine. We just wish this video is longer, since for the most part it consists of hearing a tiny snippet of her performance, and then seeing her talk about some of what this season means to her while we continue to listen to her sing.

There’s no feedback from the judges in here, but we have to assume that it is pretty positive. This is going to be a precursor of course to the dreaded Group Round, which we’re sure that we will see a little bit more of on Thursday night. This is where true personalities tend to come out, and we also see who becomes genuinely stressed out by the whole experience.

Just before we end this article, let’s start to wax poetic: This is the final Hollywood Week. It’s always been our least-favorite parts of the entire season, but there have been a few memorable performances and also funny / awkward moments to come from it.
